This attractive English spinach has dark green leaves with beautiful bright red stems and veins. These beautiful red-green spinach leafs will be an excellent addition to your salad. Sow the seeds 5 to 6 inch apart and then watch their vigorous growth!!!
This spinach is high in vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, and calcium. It is low in calories by volume, but high in protein per calorie. The succulent mucilage is a particularly rich source of soluble fiber. Among many other possibilities, Spinach may be used to thicken soups or stir-fries with garlic and chili peppers*.
Best time to sow seeds in spring and autumn. Seeds need min 15 °C to germinate. Soak the seeds in water for a few hours before planting and sow them in 10mm deep in a sunny, well-drained position. Germinates between 10-14 days. Sow them 5 – 6 inch apart. Enjoy your harvest approx 60 days.
