Odham Indian Pequin Chilli – An Extreme Hot, Rare, Citrusy, Smoky & Nutty Chilli – 20 Seeds

Do not misjudge by the size of them! They have the beautiful burning capability as they are around between 35-40 times hotter than Jalapeño! The plant is a bush like variety & reach maximum 70cm in height. This high yield variety will produce loads of extreme hot chillies all the year round (except cooler months). Fruits rarely exceed 2 cm in length but can reach up to 140,000 heat units easily where a Jalapeño is around 5,000.

They have a citrusy, smoky (if dried with wood smoke), and nutty flavour! Use as pickling, salsas and sauces, soups, and vinegars. The popular Cholula brand hot sauce lists Pequin Peppers and Habanero Arbol Peppers among its ingredients.

Sow them indoor in warmer/cooler condition and transfer outside when mature enough to survive. Germinates between 3-5 weeks, depending on the weather condition.

Due to quarantine restrictions, seeds can’t be sent to Tasmania.
